On November 11, Vietnam Railway Corporation held a ceremony to award the Prime Minister's certificates of merit to 4 cross-line guards (under Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company) for their brave actions, implementing an accurate and timely work process to ensure the safety of human life and property, to recognize the achievements of individuals, and at the same time spread good examples of good people and good deeds.
4 individuals include: Ms. Vu Thi Dien and Ms. Tran Thi Thuy (Long Khanh Bridge and Road, Long Khanh Railway Team - Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company); Ms. Dang Thi Mai Len and Ms. Ho Thi Men (Dau Giay Bridge and Road, Bien Hoa Railway Team - Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company).

On August 22, 2025, at the Km 1649+528 Long Khanh - Dau Giay section, while the staff on the board, Ms. Vu Thi Dien and Ms. Tran Thi Thuy (Long Khanh Bridge and Road, Long Khanh Railway Team) were carrying out the process of closing the barrier to welcome the SE4 train running from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi through the level crossing, suddenly a motorbike driver was running at a very high speed, unable to control the speed, and crashed directly into the barrier, throwing the barrier into the level crossing, causing unsafety, obstructing train travel and directly threatening the lives of the victims.
On August 24, 2025, there was a guard at Km1661+074 of the Long Khanh - Dau Giay section at the level crossing. While the guard guards were on the board, Ms. Dang Thi Mai Len and Ms. Ho Thi Men (Dau Giay Bridge and Road, Bien Hoa Railway Team) were carrying out the work of blocking to welcome the SE12 train running from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. When both boards were completely closed, suddenly a motorbike driver was driving at a very fast speed, not controlling the speed, and headed the blocker into the level crossing, causing obstacles and directly threatening the safety of the train and the victims.
In both cases, the 4 crossing guards mentioned above took courageous actions, carried out the work process accurately and promptly, ensuring the safety of human life and property. With the brave actions of saving people and property of the level crossing guards, it contributed to spreading and enhancing the beautiful image of railway workers.
On October 17, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 2286/QD-TTg on awarding the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to the above-mentioned individuals.
