Quang Binh - The Central Youth Union awarded the "Brave Youth" badge to a young man swept away by floodwaters while participating in rescue operations.

On November 5, Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union, representing the Central Youth Union, awarded the "Brave Youth" badge to Le Ngoc Hon (born in 2002, residing in Thanh Son village, Thai Thuy commune, Le Thuy district) - who died while rescuing people during storms and floods.

Representatives of Quang Binh Provincial Youth Union sent condolences to Le Ngoc Hon's family. At the same time, they called on local youth union members and youth to pay attention and help Hon's family in the coming time.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 2:00 p.m. on October 27, after receiving the commune's announcement about activating disaster prevention shock forces, Mr. Hon and a group of people went to support villagers by helping to raise furniture.

After helping 2 houses, while moving to another house, Mr. Hon was unfortunately swept away by the water and died.
