In the last days of May, the atmosphere in Truong Sa special zone became bustling when officials, soldiers, local authorities and families on Truong Sa, Sinh Ton, Song Tu Tay, Da Tay islands actively prepared Tet International Children's Day June 1st activities for children in the sea and islands.

On the islands, Navy officers and soldiers, along with youth union members, women's unions and people, took advantage of the time to decorate the stage, hang flags, flowers, balloons, erect banners, slogans and complete the sound and lighting system to serve the program.
The atmosphere of preparation is bustling but full of laughter.
At Truong Sa Island, the central court area was chosen as the venue for main activities. Many decorative models, folk entertainment areas and art stages have been basically completed.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Huy Phung - Political Commissar of Truong Sa Island - said that although living and working conditions on the island are still difficult, Party committees and commanders of the islands always pay attention to caring for the material and spiritual lives of children of officers, soldiers and people.
Activities on the occasion of International Children's Day are carefully prepared to create a useful playground, contributing to encouraging families to feel secure in their work and stick to building the island.
At Sinh Ton Island, preparations are also being urgently deployed. Officers and soldiers and families clean up the landscape, decorate the hall, practice arts and prepare gifts for children.
Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Cuong - Political Commissar of Sinh Ton Island - shared that caring for children is not only a responsibility but also a special affection for the young generation in the sea and islands.
Units always try to prepare enough cakes, candies, milk, books, and school supplies so that children have a meaningful International Children's Day.
At Song Tu Tay and Da Tay islands, preparations are also taking place actively.

Many officers and soldiers are completing the stage, playground and art performances. Youth union organizations and women's unions are also making handicraft decorations and preparing gifts for young children.
In particular, many gifts, congratulatory letters and school supplies sent from the mainland were received and carefully arranged to be handed over to the children on June 1st.
In addition to entertainment activities, the islands also build many educational programs to help children understand more about the traditions of the Navy, love for the homeland's sea and islands, and awareness of protecting national sovereignty.
Despite many difficulties in terms of facilities, weather and geographical distance, preparations for International Children's Day in the Truong Sa special zone are still being carried out thoughtfully.
