On the evening of August 26, leaders of Phu Son Lam Ha commune (Lam Dong) confirmed that a traffic accident had just occurred in the commune where a truck overturned and crushed a car carrying 7 people, killing 1 woman and injuring 1 boy.
Initial information, at about 4:20 pm on the same day, a truck carrying pigs with license plate 49C-300.08 driven by Nguyen Van Manh (33 years old, residing in Duc Trong commune, Lam Dong) was traveling on National Highway 27 in the direction from Dam Rong 1 commune to Dinh Van Lam Ha commune.

When reaching the curved road section on Phu Son Pass, the truck suddenly lost control and overturned to the right. The truck bed crushed a 7-seater car driven by Mr. K'Mach (29 years old), traveling in the same direction.
The accident caused the 7-seater car to be deformed, with many people trapped inside.
According to initial information, the driver and 4 people in the car escaped. A 33-year-old woman and her 2-year-old son were trapped in the car.
Upon receiving the news, functional forces and local authorities quickly arrived at the scene, using vehicles to approach and bring the trapped people out.
However, the 33-year-old woman died. The 2-year-old child was taken to a medical facility for emergency treatment.
The initial cause was determined to be that the truck had a left rear tire burst while traveling, leading to loss of control, overturning and crushing a car traveling in the same direction.
Functional forces are examining the scene, investigating the cause of the accident and handling it according to regulations.
Phu Son Pass is about 6km long, located on National Highway 27, passing through Phu Son Lam Ha commune. The road has many curved sections, small radii, posing a risk of traffic unsafety.
