511 sets of martyrs' remains found at Le Thi Rieng Park

Ho Chi Minh City - After more than 2 months of searching, functional forces have discovered and collected 511 sets of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park.

On the afternoon of August 26, according to information from the Ho Chi Minh City Command, the search and repatriation force for martyrs' remains continued to expand the search area at position 2 (Zone B), Le Thi Rieng Park.

The task force processed more than 1,000m3 of soil to serve the search. The Ho Chi Minh City Command mobilized 2 excavators, 1 bulldozer, 1 dump truck and 2 3.5-ton trucks to serve digging, transporting soil and deploying searches in Zone B.

Through searching, functional forces discovered and collected 17 more sets of martyrs' remains and 5 sets of artifacts.

From June 23 to the end of August 26, the total number of martyrs' remains discovered and collected at Le Thi Rieng Park has reached 511 sets, of which 258 sets have artifacts.

Among the total number of remains that have been collected, there are 478 individual sets of remains and 33 sets of remains at 8 collective grave locations. Among them, 2 collective grave locations were discovered in Zone A and 6 locations in Zone B.

The search and repatriation of martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park continues to be implemented, with functional forces expanding the search scope in Zone B.
