On the morning of March 27, reporters recorded that the traffic jam stretched for more than 1 km at the section near Kenh Te bridge (Former District 7).

According to people, the cause of the congestion is that a traffic collision between a garbage truck and a tractor-trailer had occurred before. The consequence of the collision was that one person died.

The collision caused the steel plate on the tractor-trailer to slip out of the semi-trailer and fall down, blocking the lane, causing prolonged traffic congestion on the southern artery of Ho Chi Minh City to the city center. Functional forces have blocked the turn from Nguyen Thi Thap to Nguyen Huu Tho to get to Kenh Te bridge.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy (resident of Tan Hung ward) shared: "At 8 am, I had to go to work but was stuck in the Kenh Te bridge area, so I was late. Because I didn't know there was an accident ahead to proactively change the route, I had to move step by step to get through here".

At the scene of the accident, a crane is being mobilized to resolve the incident. The accident is being investigated and clarified by functional forces.
