According to information from the Border Guard Command of Quang Ninh province, at 11:30 a.m. on December 21, in Hoanh Mo commune (Quang Ninh province), the provincial Border Guard force caught Bui Van Hung, born in 1988, residing in Tan Minh commune, Hai Phong city, driving a car with license plate 62A-219.71 illegally transporting 177 iPhones of all kinds, along with 18 clusters of phone components with a total value of over 1.3 billion VND.
Continuing to expand the fight against the QN 1225 project, at 9:50 p.m. the same day, the Border Guard arrested another subject Dinh Nguyen Quoc Toan (born in 1998, residing in Hoanh Mo commune, Quang Ninh province). This is the subject who directly transported the above goods from China to Vietnam.
The case is currently being completed by the Quang Ninh Provincial Border Guard for handling according to the provisions of law.
It is known that, implementing the peak plan to prevent and combat crimes, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2026, from November 25, 2025 to present, units in the Border Guard of Quang Ninh province have arrested 41 cases, 44 subjects, confiscated goods worth over 2.5 billion VND, and imposed administrative fines of over 600 million VND to the state budget.
