The situation of fishermen and fishing boats violating foreign waters to engage in illegal fishing activities, although being monitored and prevented, has not been sustainable.

Implementing the division of authority to use the fishing boat monitoring system and organizing a 24/7 shift to monitor and supervise the operation of fishing boats at sea through the fishing boat monitoring system. Preparing a list of monitoring and organizing inspections and verification, and handling fishing boats with signs of violation according to the procedure.
"To strengthen the monitoring and supervision of fishing boats with a high risk of violating IUU fishing regulations, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of 11 provinces/cities regularly conducts a review, update, and report the list of fishing boats with a high risk of violating IUU fishing regulations. Then, send it to the Fisheries Surveillance Department, the Department of Fisheries, and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of coastal provinces and cities for reference, monitoring, inspection, and handling according to regulations" - the Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of TP Đà Nẵng said.
