Contractors of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, the section passing through Dong Nai province, are entering a fierce race stage, working day and night to meet the target of technical traffic opening on December 19. On the entire route, from the main route, overpasses to intersections, the working intensity is pushed to the highest level.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, the 11.26 km section through Dong Nai province with 3 construction packages, started construction on June 18, 2023 with a total investment of more than VND 2,580 billion.
The route through Dong Nai has a starting point intersecting with Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, the end point intersecting with Abutment B of Nhon Trach Bridge. On the 5 km expressway connecting component project 1A Tan Van - Nhon Trach section at the intersection of Provincial Road 25B (Ton Duc Thang Street), with a scale of 4 lanes, speed of 100 km/h.


According to the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project has currently reached more than 60% of the contract value, many items are ahead of schedule, basically completed in 2025 and put into synchronous operation in 2026.
The project has 3 main construction packages. Of which, package 26 reached 47% of the contract value. This package is 2.2 km long, from the beginning of the route to the intersection of Provincial Road 25C; package 29 is 2.8 km long from the intersection of Provincial Road 25C to Provincial Road 25B, reaching 66% of the contract value; package 32 parallel roads from Provincial Road 25B to Nhon Trach Bridge, reaching 64% of the contract value.
All over the construction site, engineers are working from morning to night. Many workers said they are staying at the construction site almost the whole week to keep up with the progress. We work in shifts, support each other; call home a little at night and then sleep to get on shifts early in the morning, a worker shared.




Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 through Dong Nai plays a vital traffic axis, supporting the connection of Southeast localities.When put into operation, the route will reduce traffic pressure for the area, while contributing to realizing the goal of reaching 3,000 km of highways nationwide by 2025.
Not only meeting the needs of inter-regional connectivity and reducing congestion in the inner city, Ring Road 3 also opens up land funds for urban - industrial development, creating new growth momentum for the entire key economic region in the South.
