On April 30, the People's Committee of Dai Mo Ward (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi) said that it had organized a campaign to handle violations at an illegal construction material gathering site on agricultural land, an area adjacent to Tay Mo Road. This is a land that has been leveled and encroached on a large scale, hiding behind the business of construction materials to conceal the act of illegal dumping of waste.
According to information from the People's Committee of Dai Mo Ward, the working group of the local government has made deposits and erected corrugated iron fences around the entire violating area in Doc So copper land, Ngang residential group.
This area was previously turned into a place to gather sand, stone, construction waste, set up tents, containers, machinery... on public land managed by the ward.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Vice Chairman of Dai Mo Ward People's Committee said that in the immediate future, the ward will fence off to block the flow of vehicles in and out, completely preventing continued illegal dumping. In the long term, the locality will prepare records, handle violators, and force the return of the original land.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung affirmed that after completing the fence, the ward will assign Dai Mo Ward Police to be on duty to monitor 24/24 hours. Any acts of destroying barriers or re-offending will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law on public assets and land management.
"The consistent viewpoint of the Ward People's Committee is to thoroughly handle violations of land and construction order. In the coming time, we will continue to review, make a list and carry out enforcement of similar cases in the area," Mr. Hung emphasized.
Previously, the press reported the existence of an illegal construction material gathering point located near Tay Mo Street, near the intersection with Huu Hung Street, in Dai Mo Ward.
It is worth mentioning that hidden behind the construction material gathering point is a huge landfill, illegally leveling and encroaching on the surrounding agricultural land to expand the area of the gathering site.
After the press reported, on April 26, the People's Committee of the ward issued Plan No. 127 on handling land violations in this area. Then, on April 27, Notice No. 157 was sent to individuals and organizations that committed violations, requesting self-dismantling the construction and relocating assets out of the area, but without cooperation.
