On July 17, the Organizing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Logo Design Contest announced the results and awarded prizes to authors with outstanding works at the meeting of retired officials of the province in the first 6 months of 2026.
Mr. Tran Van Lau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 16th National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province, and Mr. Tran Tri Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented certificates of merit, certificates and flowers to congratulate the winning authors.
The contest took place from February 13 to March 31, attracting 486 entries from 273 authors and groups of authors inside and outside the province. After the judging rounds and taking people's opinions, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize and 2 Consolation Prizes.

The first prize belonged to freelance artist Nguyen Nghiem (Binh Trung ward, Ho Chi Minh City). The second prize was awarded to artist Duong Kieu Minh Tam (Phu Khuong ward, Vinh Long province), and student Vo Hoai Nhan (Cuu Long University) won the third prize.
Two consolation prizes belonged to freelance artist Le Ngat (Hoai Nhon ward, Gia Lai province) and lecturer Nguyen Van Binh (Dong Nai College of Decorative Arts), with plans that meet the requirements of art and applicability.
According to the Organizing Committee, creating a symbol for Vinh Long province after the merger is a highly demanding task, requiring the work to both ensure the principle of applied fine arts and express the cultural identity, historical traditions and aspirations for development of the locality.
Many works effectively exploit cultural characteristics, people, rivers and revolutionary traditions. Some options harmoniously combine the imprints of the three localities of Vinh Long, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh in the past, creating recognition and practical application value.
