On September 7, Tuy Phong Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong province) said that it had worked with the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development - Tuy Phong Branch and the Transaction Office of Tuy Phong Social Policy Bank to discuss a plan to support credit for households affected by the water reservoir breach on Tan Lai mountain on November 1, 2025.
The policies being considered include debt freezing, debt extension, interest rate reduction and new loans, in order to create maximum conditions for people to overcome difficulties and gradually restore production.
Households and individuals who suffer damage to trees, crops, and architectural structures and need credit support can register at the headquarters of hamlets 2, Tuy Tinh 1 and Tuy Tinh 2. Registration deadline is until September 10, 2026.
After receiving it, the village management boards will compile the list and send it to Tuy Phong Commune People's Committee for consideration and settlement according to regulations.
By September 2026, nearly a year has passed since the lake breach incident on Tan Lai mountain, the affected people are still waiting for compensation to have resources to restore production.
Dialogue with the Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee at the regular citizen reception in August 2026, representatives of households in village 2 said that the incident caused great damage, seriously affecting livelihoods. People proposed to accelerate the determination of damage, compensation, support and remediation of consequences.
Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam requested departments, branches, and localities to urgently determine the full extent of damage to each household, and at the same time strengthen information on the progress of resolving the case.
Regarding livelihood recovery, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the locality to coordinate with banks to implement new loans for people according to regulations. Regarding obstacles in extending and postponing loans, the locality needs to soon summarize and report to the Provincial People's Committee to have solutions to remove them according to the credit mechanism.
The water reservoir breach on Tan Lai mountain under the Viet Phong Phu Farm project occurred on the evening of November 1, 2025, killing 1 person and injuring 1 person. The water flow affected more than 125 hectares of production land, crops, crops and livestock of 374 households.
In July 2026, the Investigation Police Agency of Lam Dong Provincial Police prosecuted defendant Tran Quang Tinh, Director of the company, for the act of "Violating construction regulations causing serious consequences".
