As Lao Dong newspaper has reported, images of a young man named T inviting his girlfriend and her group of friends to eat at a seafood restaurant in Viet Tri ward with a bill cost of 16 million VND have been spreading on social networks in recent days.
After the meal, the girls left even though they had not paid, leaving the young man alone "wandering" at the restaurant.
The incident happened at about 10 pm on June 24, at Viet Tri Seafood restaurant (commonly known as 5k grilled oyster restaurant) on Vu The Lang street, Viet Tri ward.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of June 28, a restaurant representative informed that as of yesterday (June 27), the restaurant had received 8 million VND from a group of female friends accompanying young man T - paying a portion of seafood meal.
Regarding the remaining 8 million VND in the invoice, a restaurant representative said that young man T showed abnormal psychological signs, and through investigation, it was learned that T's family situation was difficult (his mother was ill and treated in the South). Therefore, the restaurant "determined" that the remaining amount would not be paid.

Receiving the payment amount, even if only half of the invoice, but the restaurant will deduct a portion to reward the staff. That amount of money to support the staff in paying rent is still better than inviting strangers" - the restaurant representative shared.
In addition to the above humanitarian action, representatives of Viet Tri Seafood restaurant also wished the online community to stop discussing the story, and at the same time apologized to customers for the unwanted noise that occurred in recent days.
Previously, immediately after the incident occurred, Viet Tri Ward Police, through initial inspection, determined that the prices of goods in invoices were consistent with the general level of the market, and no signs of abnormality in selling prices were detected.
During the meal, the group of customers ordered many high-value seafood dishes such as: king crab, Alaska shrimp, sea bugs, fragrant snails and many types of drinks. Not finishing eating, the group of customers also asked the restaurant to pack and bring them home.
The young man in the case named T (residing in Tam Duong commune, Phu Tho province) was identified as having some abnormal psychological manifestations. During working with the police agency, T also showed signs of being confused, not cooperating and not signing the minutes.
