According to Mr. Tran Van Hoang - director of My Nguyen Production and Trading Co., Ltd., at about 11:40 am on the same day, security guards and people around discovered smoke and fire rising from the scrap warehouse. Working workers immediately used on-site fire fighting equipment to control and prevent the fire from spreading.
According to a quick report from the Fire and Rescue Police Department of the area, Fire and Rescue Team of Region 1, at 12:49 PM on January 2, 2026, a fire occurred at My Nguyen Trading and Production Co., Ltd. Branch. The force immediately mobilized 5 specialized vehicles and 49 officers and soldiers, reinforced with 6 more vehicles and 39 officers and soldiers from other regional teams.
Under the direct command of the department's leaders, after about 1 hour of implementing the plan, by 2:05 PM the fire was basically controlled, at 5:19 PM the fire was completely extinguished, without causing any casualties. Functional agencies are collecting assets and investigating the cause.
The fire did not cause any casualties, the scrap storage area was damaged. The company is coordinating with functional agencies to statistically assess damage, investigate the cause, and at the same time overcome the scene, review fire prevention work to soon stabilize production.
