On August 7, Ho Chi Minh City Police said that after the clip of a nanny suspected of child abuse at a kindergarten, Thuan Giao Ward Police urgently and simultaneously reviewed and verified throughout the area.
Thuan Giao Ward Police determined that the incident occurred at La Xanh Kindergarten (address 1/33B, Hoa Lan 2 neighborhood, Thuan Giao ward).
Immediately after that, the Ward Police invited the related people to work. The initial investigation determined that Ms. T.T. T (born in 1971, a nanny working at La Xanh Kindergarten) is the woman in the clips circulating on social networks.
At the police station, Ms. T.T. T confessed to the act of impacting the 2 children as reflected in the clips. Through verification, the two children appearing in the clip were both born in 2024.
The Police Agency also invited Ms. C.C.N (born in 1997) to work as the person who filmed and posted the clips. Ms. N has handed over all the remaining video clips to support the investigation work.
The Police Agency is continuing to collect and consolidate collected documents and evidence, and strictly handle them according to legal regulations.
According to Thuan Giao Ward People's Committee, La Xanh Kindergarten currently has about 60 children attending, the school has 9 teachers and nannies. Currently, the Ward People's Committee is reviewing the dossier to issue a decision to temporarily suspend La Xanh Kindergarten. After the incident, on August 7, La Xanh Kindergarten temporarily suspended operations to work with functional agencies.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that on August 7, 2 clips of children being beaten by nannies at La Xanh Kindergarten in Thuan Giao ward, Ho Chi Minh City appeared online. Images show a baby girl sitting on the floor in a state of panic, crying loudly, next to her is a woman squatting opposite.
The woman used a rubber band to thread into the legs and then stretched and shot into the soles of the 2 girls' feet. Just as she shot the rubber band, the woman continuously said "be there and cry, don't listen". The incident caused the 2 girls to be in pain and scream. Not stopping there, the woman also used her hand to pat the child's head hard, then carried the baby with one hand.
In another clip, the woman also repeated the above behavior and continuously threatened the child, causing the child to sit and scream among the other children.
