On the morning of March 11, ship 950 of Naval Flotilla 411, Brigade 955, Naval Region 4 successfully towed fishing vessel QNg 90459 TS with 36 fishermen from Quang Ngai province who encountered an accident at sea to Ba Ngoi port (Cam Linh ward, Khanh Hoa province) safely and handed it over to local functional agencies.

Previously, at about 5 pm on March 10, the Command of Naval Region 4 received a report that fishing vessel QNg 90459 TS had a malfunctioned rudder and drifted at sea at coordinates 12°00'N - 109°43'E.
The location of the ship accident was about 28 nautical miles southeast of Hon Tre Island (Khanh Hoa) and about 26 nautical miles northeast of Cam Linh. At the time of the incident, there were 36 fishermen on board fishing at sea.
Immediately after receiving the order from the Head of Naval Region 4 Command, Brigade 955 dispatched ship 950 to urgently maneuver to the area where the fishing boat encountered an accident to organize rescue.
After more than 2 hours of travel in unfavorable weather conditions, at about 7 pm on the same day, ship 950 approached the fishing boat.
At this time, the sea area where the ship was in distress had Northeast winds of level 5-6, waves from 2 - 3m high accompanied by heavy rain, causing many difficulties for approaching and deploying rescue plans.

However, with a high sense of responsibility, officers and soldiers of ship 950 quickly stabilized the situation, visited and encouraged the fishermen, and urgently deployed to build tugboats to pull fishing boats.
After more than 1 hour of effort in complex stormy conditions, the working group completed the towing line. At about 9 pm on March 10, ship 950 began to tow fishing boat QNg 90459 TS with all 36 fishermen to the mainland.
Throughout the tug-of-war process, officers and soldiers of ship 950 regularly monitor the condition of fishing boats, care for and encourage fishermen so that people can feel secure.
By the morning of March 11, ship 950 had towed fishing boat QNg 90459 TS to Ba Ngoi port safely and handed it over to local functional agencies according to regulations. The health of all 36 fishermen is stable.
Timely rescue not only demonstrates the spirit of responsibility and mobility of officers and soldiers of Brigade 955, Naval Region 4, but also contributes to consolidating military-civilian solidarity at sea, creating a support for fishermen to feel secure in going offshore and sticking to the sea.
