On May 13, leaders of Van Du Commune People's Committee, Nghe An province said that the locality has directed relevant units to inspect and verify information about a 6th grade student in the area suspected of being abused.
According to initial information, T., a 6th grade student at Dai Minh Secondary School, currently lives with her father and stepmother in hamlet 7, Van Du commune. Previously, images of T. with dark circles under her eyes appeared on social networks, along with information suspected of being abused by her stepmother.
After grasping the incident, Van Du Commune People's Committee contacted the hamlet officials and the Board of Directors of Dai Minh Secondary School to find out the situation. At the same time, the locality assigned officials in charge of children's work to coordinate with Van Du Commune Police to work with the family and related people.
Leaders of Van Du Commune People's Committee said that the local viewpoint is to protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of children, and if violent acts are detected, they will be strictly handled according to legal regulations.
Representatives of Van Du Commune Police also confirmed that the unit had invited T.'s family and related people to work to serve the inspection and verification work.
Currently, the case is being further clarified by functional agencies.
