On March 4, information spread on Facebook about a student at Le Van Tam Secondary School (Ha Long City) being greased with a strange substance on his face by a stranger while walking on the road.
According to the content shared on Facebook, there is a section writing: "While passing through the alley, I encountered a man with a covered face, wearing a pink sweater and a life jacket. This person pulled the child back and applied a yellow substance to his face... Everyone needs to be vigilant!"
Speaking to Lao Dong, a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Long City said that they had received a report from Le Van Tam Secondary School on this incident. The school is coordinating with the police and relevant agencies to inspect and verify the specifics.
Currently, the health and psychology of the students involved have stabilized.
The Department of Education and Training of Ha Long City has also requested schools in the area to strengthen the safety of students.
Strengthen propaganda and raise awareness among staff, teachers, students and parents about responsible use of social networks.
Do not rush to share or comment on unverified information from authorities, avoid causing public confusion.
Schools need to closely coordinate with parents to instruct students in equipping themselves with skills to recognize dangers, protect themselves and handle unexpected situations that may arise.
