On the afternoon of April 5, the People's Committee of Hong Ha commune (A Luoi district, Hue city) said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, a tanker truck lost control and plunged into a ravine, causing the driver to die on the spot.
According to initial information, on the same morning, a tanker truck with a Hue City license plate, owned by Hue Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company, driven by driver N.V.A (residing in Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town), was traveling from Hue to A Luoi district on National Highway 49.
When reaching km 55+850, passing through Hong Ha commune, the vehicle suddenly lost control and plunged straight into a deep ravine on the side of the road. The strong plunge caused the car to be severely damaged and the driver could not survive.
Immediately after the incident, the authorities of A Luoi district were present at the scene to coordinate rescue and investigate the cause of the accident.
