On the morning of August 29, a tractor-trailer carrying bricks overturned on National Highway 4H, causing a traffic jam on the main road connecting the center of Dien Bien province with the western communes.
According to records at the scene, a tractor-trailer with license plate 27H-001.41 pulling a trailer carrying bricks overturned across the road surface. The incident caused the road to narrow, and cars could not pass through the area.

Mr. Nghiem Van Tu - a road user - said that he was on the way to Sin Thau commune when he encountered an incident. Because the vehicle could not move through the location of the accident, he had to consider a way around.
Having business in Sin Thau, I went through this road, but now I've been waiting for this accident for too long, I probably have to find a way around" - Mr. Tu shared.
According to local people, the area where the incident occurred is under construction to open the curve and raise the roadbed. Due to incompleteness, the road surface is currently mainly mountain soil.

Especially, when it rains, the ground becomes soft and slippery, posing a risk of unsafety for vehicles traveling.
People said that there has been a situation where vehicles are difficult to move, easily slip, overturn or fall when passing through this road section.
Immediately after the incident occurred, relevant units were present, coordinating to handle the scene, clear vehicles and overcome congestion.
Functional forces are making efforts to soon clear the route, ensuring that vehicles can circulate normally on National Highway 4H.
