On the morning of June 25, information from the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that functional forces had successfully controlled a passenger car fire that occurred on the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway.
According to initial information, at about 10 pm on June 24, a passenger car with license plate 77F-004... of L.P car company was moving on the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway in the North - South direction when a fire suddenly broke out.
At the time of the incident, there were dozens of passengers on the car along with the driver and assistant driver.
People in the car quickly used mini fire extinguishers and available equipment to put out the fire, but the fire continued to spread.
Recognizing the complicated developments, the driver reported to the authorities. The fire was identified to have occurred at Km334+700, in Tan Dinh commune.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 5 under the Fire and Rescue Police Department dispatched 2 specialized vehicles and 9 officers and soldiers to the scene.
By the morning of the same day, the fire was completely controlled by functional forces. The incident caused the passenger car to be completely burned and damaged. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties.
After completing firefighting, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 5 handed over the scene to competent authorities to continue verifying and investigating the cause of the incident according to regulations.
