On June 21, Mr. Tran Quang Dong - Chairman of Thach Xuan Commune People's Committee said that the locality has received information about Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee just approving the investment policy for the investment project to build provincial road DT. 553 section from Thach Xuan commune - Huong Do (Km17+530 - Km39+030).

The project will help people travel conveniently and contribute to promoting trade and socio-economic development of the locality," Mr. Tran Quang Dong shared.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang (41 years old, residing in Thach Xuan commune) shared that he is very happy that provincial road DT. 553 has just been approved for investment to connect with communes in Huong Khe district (old).
My hometown is in Huong Khe commune, so investing in the provincial road DT. 553 will help me shorten the distance to my hometown. Therefore, I am very happy and looking forward to the day the road will be invested and completed," Mr. Thang shared.
According to the approval decision of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, the investment project to build provincial road DT. 553 section from Thach Xuan commune - Huong Do (Km17+530 - Km39+030) has the starting point Km17+530 intersecting with National Highway 8C at Km32+900; the ending point at Km39+030 DT. 553 road, belonging to Huong Do commune.
Designed according to grade III plain road standards, roadbed width 12m, road surface width 7m. Total estimated investment is 1,440 billion VND.
Source of capital from the Central budget and local budget in the period 2026 - 2030. Project implementation time from 2026 - 2030.
The investment objective is to complete the entire provincial road DT. 553 with a total length of about 79.21 km, forming a new development axis, connecting inter-regions between the central urban areas of the province (Thanh Sen ward, Ha Huy Tap ward) with western communes such as Huong Do, Huong Khe;
Connecting the Ho Chi Minh Road, Border Guard Station 575, Ban Giang and the border patrol route at landmark N511-1; creating motivation for socio-economic development of localities and contributing to ensuring national defense and security in the western border area of Ha Tinh province.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Departments of Finance, Construction, Agriculture and Environment and the People's Committees of Thach Xuan and Huong Do communes, according to their functions and tasks, to coordinate, guide, and support the investor in the project implementation process.
Provincial road DT. 553 has long been unfinished, not fully cleared, so people often call it a dead end. At the connection point with National Highway 8C in Thach Xuan commune, the traffic sign also states this is a dead end section, warning of danger for vehicle drivers to proactively avoid, not entering will be dangerous.
