The accident occurred at around 2:40 a.m. on October 16 on National Highway 1, km 1710 + 600 through Ham My commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan.
At that time, the sleeper bus with license plate 50H - 359.51 was traveling from Binh Thuan to Dong Nai. When it reached the above location, it hit the crane bars on the trailer with license plate 73R - 005.26 of the tractor 73H - 000.33.
The impact caused the front of the bus by the entrance door to be deformed and crushed. The bus assistant sitting in this position was crushed, with half of his arm severed from the elbow down. An ambulance arrived and took the bus assistant to Binh Thuan General Hospital for emergency treatment. At the scene, although everyone tried to search for the bus assistant's severed arm, they still could not find it.
No passengers on the bus were injured. It is known that this is a sleeper bus running from Binh Dinh to Ho Chi Minh City, with about 20 passengers on board. The bus departed from Binh Dinh at around 6 p.m. on October 15. The tractor-trailer was carrying a large crane on a trailer.
After the accident, Ham My Commune Police and the Traffic Police Patrol Team of Binh Thuan Provincial Police Department were present at the scene to regulate traffic. The Investigation Police Agency of Ham Thuan Nam District Police, Binh Thuan came to examine the scene to investigate the accident according to their authority.
