According to initial information, at about 12:55 pm on May 8, people discovered smoke and fire rising from the family of Ms. D. T. B. L.
At the time of the incident, there was strong wind, the fire was discovered from the kitchen area containing many flammable items, so the fire quickly flared up strongly.

People around used handheld fire extinguishers and water to put out the fire but failed. In just a short time, the fire spread to the porch and the 1st floor of the adjacent house.
Upon receiving the news, the fire fighting force of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police dispatched 4 fire trucks and vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to deploy fire fighting operations.

Because the area where the fire occurred was a small alley, firefighting was difficult. By about 1:30 pm on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.
Recorded at the scene, the fire did not cause any casualties. However, the kitchen area of Ms. L's family was completely burned down, while the house was spreading fire, damaging many assets and household items.

According to the homeowner's initial account, before the fire occurred, Ms. L started a fireplace to cook dog food. During the fire, the fire suddenly flared up strongly and then spread to the surrounding area and neighboring houses. The homeowner only had time to shout and run out to escape.
