On July 28, Bien Hoa Ward People's Committee, Dong Nai City is coordinating with functional agencies to handle the case of a truck crashing into a railway protection frame on National Highway 1K passing through the ward; at the same time, warning vehicles to ensure railway traffic safety.
Previously, at about 10:54 PM on July 27th, a container truck crashed into a height limit frame (halfway left) in the direction from Bien Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City. Then, at 11:27 PM on July 27th, another high-barrel truck continued to crash into the height limit frame in the opposite direction. The incident caused both protective limit frames to be damaged and completely collapsed.
According to Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company, Hoa An railway bridge Km1702+090 belongs to the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line, crossing National Highway 1K in Bien Hoa ward, Dong Nai city.
In order to prevent the risk of transport vehicles colliding with railway bridge girders, the road management unit has installed and organized the management of the height limit frame system at both ends of the bridge (height limit is 4.2m) as well as fully arranged traffic signs, warning signs, guide paint markings and traffic safety equipment according to regulations.
However, over the past time, the height limit frame mentioned above has been frequently collided with by vehicles (container trucks, high-barrel trucks) causing deformation and damage that requires continuous repair. The peak was on July 27, 2026, when 3 truck collisions occurred, causing the protective limit frame to be damaged and completely collapsed.
The above incident directly threatens the safety of the Km1702+090 railway bridge, which could cause the bridge to collapse if the train arrives at the right time when the bridge is weak when strongly impacted by road vehicles crashing into it.
Representatives of Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company have regularly inspected, coordinated, and worked with relevant agencies such as the Department of Construction of Dong Nai City, Bien Hoa Ward People's Committee... to ensure railway and road traffic safety for people and vehicles in circulation.
Saigon Railway Joint Stock Company proposed that road management agencies and police need to decisively intervene and strictly handle cases and individuals who violate to prevent "disasters" that may occur at any time.
