On June 6, information from Ba Ngoi Ward Police, Khanh Hoa province said that in response to the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control and the National Day for Drug Prevention and Control (June 26), the Ward Police just organized a large-scale drug testing campaign for workers at businesses in the area.
Accordingly, from June 4 - June 6, the Crime Prevention and Control Police Team of Ba Ngoi Ward Police coordinated with relevant units to deploy drug testing and propaganda to raise awareness about drug prevention and control for 300 workers and laborers working at 3 enterprises including: Tien Loc Construction Materials Company, Tien Thanh Construction Materials Company and Hoa An 1 Company.
Through the process of reviewing and testing, functional forces discovered 1 case with positive results for drugs.
Immediately after that, Ba Ngoi Ward Police made a record and proceeded with handling steps in accordance with the law.
According to the plan of Ba Ngoi Ward People's Committee on launching a peak period of general review, statistics, detection, and struggle to clean up the area to serve the transformation of complex drug areas in 2026, organizing drug testing in enterprises is one of the important solutions.
In addition to inspection work, functional forces also promote propaganda and dissemination of legal regulations on drug prevention and control; the harmful effects of drugs on health, life and labor productivity, contributing to raising awareness and law compliance of workers.
This work also contributes to the effective implementation of the National Target Program on drug prevention and control, building a safe and civilized working environment without social evils; maintaining security and order in the locality.
After the test, Ba Ngoi Ward Police will continue to maintain periodic review and testing activities at production facilities and businesses in the area.
Through this, proactively prevent, promptly detect and prevent the situation of illegal drug use among workers and laborers.
At the same time, functional forces call on people and workers to raise their vigilance, actively denounce violations related to drugs, and join hands to build a safe and healthy living and working environment.
This is also one of the key tasks to realize the goal of building Ba Ngoi ward into a "drug-free" area by 2028.
