In late August, all the central streets of Lang Son City such as Ba Trieu, Tran Dang Ninh, Hung Vuong, to the towns and villages on the border, everywhere were brilliant with the red color of the national flag and fresh flowers. The joyful and proud atmosphere spread, as Lang Son entered the grand festival on September 2, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
From the headquarters of the agency and school to each house, the red flag with yellow star was flying everywhere. The main streets are decorated with billboards, posters, and advertising slogans; in the evening, a series of LED lights are bright, attracting a large number of people to the streets.

Even coffee shops and restaurants decorated flags and flowers at the same time, creating a vibrant festive atmosphere.
Ms. Hai Van (Thanh Loa commune, Lang Son) shared: "On National Day this year, the neighborhood hung a red flag, decorating with fresh flowers at the village gate. People clean up the alley together, everyone is excited because their hometown is constantly changing. For people in border areas, every major festival makes them even more proud to live in peace and prosperity".


Not only that, many young people took the opportunity to take photos and record beautiful moments. Traditional ao dai, red flag costumes with yellow stars appear at relic sites and the Ky Lua - Tam Thanh walking street.
Colorful decoration corners have become a "checking-in mode" attracting customers. On social networks, a series of videos and clips spread the spirit of national pride, contributing to multiplying the spirit of the holiday.
Mr. Hoang Van Hung, a resident of Dong Kinh ward, emotionally said: "80 years of National Day is a sacred milestone. We are happy that today's city is both spacious, modern, and brilliant with flags and flowers. The younger generation will have more confidence and responsibility to build their homeland".

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province, from August to September, many rich activities will be implemented such as the thematic exhibition "August Revolution, 1945 - The great turning point of the Vietnamese revolution in the 20th century" at the Provincial Museum (15.8 - 15.9.2025); a commemorative film festival of documentaries, historical films at Dong Kinh Theater and mobile ball screening teams (12.8 - 12.9.2025).
Along with that, there will be an exhibition and introduction of books about the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 at the Provincial Library (August 10 - September 15, 2025); folk song exchange with Then and sli melodies, traveling on the evening of September 2 at the Hoang Van Thu Monument and a painting exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day from August 6 to September 10, 2025.
The highlight of the event series is the welcoming art program taking place at 8:00 p.m. on September 2, 2025 at the Hung Vuong Street stage, Luong Van Tri ward. Immediately after that, the province will organize a low-altitude fireworks display combined with sound and light lasting 15 minutes.
