On the evening of October 27, speaking with Lao Dong, a representative of the People's Committee of An Khanh commune, Hai Phong city confirmed that the locality had just discovered and handled 226 graves without remains within the scope of the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project.
A representative of the Economic Department of An Khanh commune said that after the merger of administrative units, the local government inspected and discovered hundreds of graves located in 5 villages, within the project boundary. These tombs were formed before July 1, 2025. Among them, many tombs have the same name, with an unknown tomb, the inscription "red girl, red boy"... but the common feature is that there is no point.

Immediately after discovering 226 graves without bells, An Khanh commune coordinated with the commune police to invite households to work, determined that 17 households and individuals had built graves and placed incense trees to keep their places. The People's Committee of the commune has propagated, mobilized and requested households to dismantle and move the graves without bells out of the land. At the same time, the commune requires households to commit not to request compensation or support for the above-mentioned graves without trees.
Up to now, most of the graves have been moved and demolished, only a few have not been moved. The commune is continuing to urge and mobilize households to quickly move and return the site to implement the project.
