On February 1, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that during the 7-day Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025 (from December 26 to the 3rd day of Tet), the security and order situation in the province continued to be stable, with no complicated incidents occurring.
During the 7-day Tet holiday, the whole province had 7 criminal cases (1 case of disturbing public order, 6 cases of intentional injury), a decrease of 56.25% compared to the same period of the 2024 Lunar New Year. There were 15 traffic accidents, 7 deaths, 10 injuries, a decrease of 5 cases compared to the same period.
During the Tet holiday, the weather was favorable, and the number of people going to spring festivals was quite large. At historical and cultural relics, temples and pagodas in the province, tourists from all over the country came to visit and sightsee, and the number of people visiting increased dramatically. However, traffic participants complied with traffic safety regulations.
Although violations of alcohol concentration, speeding, disobeying traffic lights, weaving, etc. have decreased compared to before, there are still cases of intentional violations that are being handled.
During the first 7 days of the Tet holiday, the provincial traffic police detected and handled more than 1,000 violations, fined nearly 3 billion VND, revoked driving licenses, inspected 21 cases, and detained 181 vehicles; of which 162 cases were fined for alcohol concentration violations, with fines totaling more than 750 million VND.
