In the days leading up to the Mid-Autumn Festival, a series of stores, facilities producing and trading candy and children's toys of unknown origin in Ninh Binh were continuously inspected, discovered and handled by the authorities.
On October 4, the Economic Police Department of Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that the unit had just presided over and coordinated with Market Management Team No. 11 under the Ninh Binh Provincial Market Management Department to conduct an inspection at Myandy Vietnam Co., Ltd. (located in Luong Trang Residential Group, Liem Tuyen Ward, Ninh Binh Province) by Mr. Ta Quoc Chinh, born in 1974, as the legal representative.
During the inspection, the authorities discovered and seized a large quantity of candy using ingredients and additives of unknown origin.
At the Company's factory, the authorities discovered many packaging, fragrances, colorants, and sweeteners without labels or labels in foreign languages but without Vietnamese sub-labels.
Previously, through the work of grasping the situation in the area and in cyberspace, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Ninh Binh Provincial Police also discovered Nguyen Van Son, born in 1992 (residing in Thanh Nam Ward, Ninh Binh Province) using social networks to advertise and sell children's toys of violent nature, unknown origin.
The unit coordinated with Market Management Team No. 1 to inspect the business establishment owned by Nguyen Van Son in Thanh Nam ward.
At the time of inspection, the inspection team discovered nearly 3,200 children's toys, worth about 120 million VND, manufactured abroad, without documents proving their origin.
In Nam Dinh ward, Ninh Binh province, the authorities also discovered a household selling more than 1,000 moon cakes of unknown origin.
According to the representative of the Ninh Binh Provincial Market Management Department, this business establishment is located on Tran Dang Ninh Street, owned by Vu Cong Khanh.
Through inspection, the authorities discovered that the establishment was selling 1,063 types of baked cakes and sticky rice cakes without invoices or documents proving their origin, with a total value of the violating goods of over 7.1 million VND.
The Captain of Market Management Team No. 1 issued a Decision to administratively sanction the business household with over 8 million VND. At the same time, all violating exhibits were confiscated for handling according to the provisions of law.
The Market Management Force of Ninh Binh province recommends that organizations and individuals selling food strictly comply with regulations on the origin and source of goods. At the same time, consumers are advised to choose products with clear labels to ensure health safety during this Mid-Autumn Festival.
