On July 16, information from the Traffic Police Department, recently the Traffic Police Department, Son La Provincial Police, received instructions from the Traffic Police Department on verifying the content reflected related to a blue plate car overtaking on National Highway 6, posing a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
Through verification, on July 15, Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 invited Mr. H.M. T (born 1970, residing in Chieng Sinh ward, Son La province) to work.
Mr. T confirmed that he was the driver of the car with license plate 26A-000.xx, blue background license plate, white letters, appearing in the clip posted on social networks.
Functional agencies determined that at about 1:57 pm on the same day, while traveling on National Highway 6, at Km165+400, passing through Van Ho commune, Son La province, in the direction of Hanoi - Son La, Mr. T committed the act of overtaking in cases where overtaking is not allowed.
At the meeting, Mr. T admitted that the content reflected in the clip was true, and at the same time admitted the act of violating regulations on road traffic order and safety.
Based on the verification results, Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 made a record of administrative violation against Mr. T for the act of "Overtaking in cases where overtaking is not allowed", according to Point a, Clause 5, Article 6 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government.
For this violation, the driver was fined 5 million VND and had 2 points deducted from his driver's license as prescribed.
Regarding the case of a motorcyclist falling onto the roadside, which is said to be related to the violation of a blue-plated car, the Traffic Police Department of Son La Provincial Police said that they are continuing to verify to handle it according to regulations.
At the same time, functional agencies requested relevant people to proactively contact to coordinate in resolving the case.
The Traffic Police Department of Son La Provincial Police also recorded and thanked people for providing information and images reflecting traffic violations.
