On July 16-17, Lao Cai province will organize the 2026 Investment Promotion Conference with the theme "Lao Cai - Connecting Development - Green and Sustainable".
This is an important political and economic event, demonstrating the local determination in building a constructive government, accompanying businesses and creating a transparent and attractive investment environment.
The conference is expected to become a driving force to unlock development resources, remove bottlenecks in mechanisms and policies, and open up new space for businesses, cooperatives and business households to expand production and invest in a green and sustainable direction.
Up to now, the preparation for the official session of the conference at the Lao Cai Provincial Convention Center has been basically completed.
The exhibition space is arranged with 80 booths, including 20 investment promotion booths, 10 tourism promotion booths and 50 trade promotion booths, introducing potentials, advantages, development planning and many typical local products.
According to the organizers, the conference is expected to attract thousands of delegates, along with about 300 domestic and foreign businesses and investors to attend.
In addition to potential introduction activities, this is also a forum for the government and the business community to directly dialogue and exchange difficulties and obstacles in the investment, production, and business process.
The highlight of the series of events is the Seminar on promotion, advertising and attracting investment in tourism development "Lao Cai - A convergence of Northwest colors", organized by Lao Cai province in coordination with Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of July 16.
The seminar will focus on discussing solutions to attract investment in the tourism sector, build unique products, improve the competitiveness of destinations and expand connections with international tourist markets.
This is considered an important forum to effectively exploit the advantages of the new Lao Cai province after the merger, towards the goal of becoming a tourist center of the Northwest region.
Also on the evening of July 16, Lao Cai province will open Yen Bai Ward Pedestrian Street in the area of 19/8 Square, combined with the art program "Lao Cai - A place where the colors of the Northwest converge".
The program gathers more than 800 artisans, professional and amateur actors from the Provincial Culture, Arts and Sports Center, mass art troupes and folk cultural clubs of many communes and wards.
Performances imbued with the identity of the Northwest ethnic groups promise to create highlights, contributing to promoting the image of the land, people and development potential of Lao Cai to investors and tourists.
