Bustling Tet in the border area
In the days leading up to the Lunar New Year, the spring atmosphere in the border villages of Quang Tri becomes more bustling and warmer with a series of activities in the "Border Spring Warms People's Hearts" program.
Traditional cultural and sports activities such as crossbow shooting, xoang throwing, "Green Chung Cake" festival, and cultural programs imbued with national identity are organized right in the village, attracting a large number of people to participate.

The special highlight of the program is the "zero-dollar" market held in the residential area of the Ruc ethnic people.
Booths full of rice, confectionery, warm clothes, and essential necessities have brought clear joy to many families who are still in difficulty.
Ms. Cao Thi Hai - a resident of Yen Hop village, could not hide her joy when her family received Tet gifts, her young child had new warm clothes, and she herself and the villagers were also examined and given free medicine.
"This Tet, my family has banh chung, warm clothes for our children, and we are living in a new house, so everyone is excited and warmer," Ms. Hai shared.

Many people in the village said that being able to directly participate in cultural and entertainment activities and receive support right at their place of residence helps them feel more clearly the concern of the Party, State and Border Guard forces for people in border areas.
Spreading military-civilian solidarity
In parallel with spring activities, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province and border posts on two border lines organized visits and gifts to policy families and poor households; medical examinations and free medicine distribution for people; and at the same time promoted communication about science and technology, digital transformation and supported livelihood models for women's union members in Kim Phu commune.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Van Dung - Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province affirmed that the program has been and is strongly spreading the spirit of compassion and community responsibility.
Border Spring warms the hearts of the people not only brings a more fulfilling Tet to the people, but also ignites faith in a peaceful spring in the borderland of the Fatherland," Senior Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Van Dung emphasized.
In 2026, in addition to the main location in Kim Phu commune, the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province and border posts on the two border lines have coordinated with local authorities and philanthropists to organize a total of 28 "Border Spring warms people's hearts" programs.
Through these programs, the Border Guard force and accompanying units have presented 52 Great Solidarity houses, 25 border shelters, 7 clean water projects; and at the same time presented tens of thousands of Tet gifts, warm clothes, warm blankets, scholarships, bicycles, banh chung and supported many livelihood models for people. The total value of support activities is estimated at nearly 11 billion VND.
Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee said that the program "Border Spring warms people's hearts" is an activity that shows solidarity and sharing. Each Tet gift is not simply a shirt, a cake, a warm home in the border... but the warmth of comradeship, compatriotism, sharing from heart to heart, an affirmation that in the common house of Quang Tri, no one will be left behind.
