High Tet bonus, stable labor relations
Notably, the Lunar New Year 2026 bonus is expected by many businesses to be high. The highest bonus belongs to Foster Electronics Co., Ltd. (Quang Ngai) with 205.1 million VND; followed by Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company with 120 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quy - a worker working at Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel JSC - said that the company's Tet bonus is based on the classification results. If type A is achieved, they will be rewarded with 2 months' salary; type B is rewarded with 1.2 months' salary; type C is rewarded with one month's salary. "The Tet bonus is quite good, so union members also welcome a decent Tet," Mr. Quy confided.
According to the Labor Federation (LDF) of Quang Ngai province, the Trade Unions of Nghia Lo and Cam Thanh wards coordinated to organize the "Tet Sum vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party" Program in 2026. At the program, 765 union members and workers of the two wards received gifts from the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Labor Federation and Ward Trade Unions. Among them, 200 union members were given "0 VND" shopping vouchers at the "Trade Union Tet Market"; 100 union members will receive gifts at the "Tet Sum vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party" Program organized by the Provincial Labor Federation, expected on the morning of February 4, 2026.
Specifically, at the program co-organized by the two units, 465 union members and workers were presented with gifts. Gifts were supported from many sources with different levels, including: Gifts from the Party and State worth 2.3 million VND (in cash and in kind); gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour worth 1.3 million VND; gifts from the Provincial Labor Federation worth 1 million VND; gifts from the Ward Trade Union worth 600,000 VND (in cash and in kind).
More than 6 billion VND to care for Tet for union members and workers
Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation also plans to organize a series of key events "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" and "Trade Union Tet Market", focusing on two main locations: Provincial Labor Culture House, facility II (309 Duy Tan, Dak Cam ward) and Provincial Labor Culture House (167 Hung Vuong, Nghia Lo ward).
The provincial Labor Federation's budget alone spent more than 6 billion VND to prepare 6,000 gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash and in-kind gifts.
According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation, 600 gifts will be given directly at focused events to create highlights to spread the movement; the remaining 5,400 gifts (accounting for a large part of the budget) are widely distributed to grassroots trade unions. This plan helps visits to be carried out directly to workers right at the unit and local residence, ensuring closeness and timeliness.
The VGCL has also supported Quang Ngai with more than 1.2 billion VND (equivalent to 700 gifts) and especially the allocation of 4,000 online shopping vouchers (worth 500,000 VND/voucher).
Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation, - said that the work of caring for Tet for union members and workers this year is not spread out but focuses on cases of work accidents, occupational diseases; people with dangerous diseases; families affected by natural disasters and storms; and groups of workers who have reduced working hours, lost their jobs or have not had conditions to return to their hometowns for Tet for many years. The program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" is also being implemented to improve spiritual life through cultural exchange activities, lucky draws, creating a warm and connected space between the Trade Union organization and union members.
The "2026 Trade Union Tet Market" at the Provincial Labor Culture House is expected to have 15 booths, providing a full range of essential goods, strictly controlled for origin and food safety and hygiene. The highlight of the market is the "0 VND" welfare booth. From socialized resources, 700 shopping vouchers (worth 500,000 VND/voucher) will be distributed free of charge to the most difficult circumstances. Other booths commit to selling at preferential prices lower than the market price...
Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan affirmed that this is a key activity, clearly showing the role and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in accompanying the lives of workers. All care activities must be completed before the Lunar New Year, ensuring support reaches the right people, at the right time, and not leaving any workers in difficulty behind.
