On September 13, Song Cau Ward Police, Dak Lak province said that functional forces had just promptly found a lost child on the mountain and handed him over safely to his family.
According to information from the family, child N.G. K (residing in Song Cau ward) left home at about 3:30 pm on September 12. At about 4:30 pm on the same day, the family could not find the child, so they reported it to Song Cau Ward Police.
Immediately after receiving the report, Song Cau Ward Police urgently deployed forces, organized a wide-area search. The unit also coordinated with relevant units, families and local people to organize continuous searches overnight, lasting until dawn on September 13.
At about 8:50 am on September 13, during the process of supporting the family and functional forces in searching, Mr. Truong Van Dan, residing in Le Uyen residential group, Song Cau ward, discovered baby K in the area behind Ong Dinh mountain, belonging to Le Uyen residential group.
The location where the baby was discovered was about 20km from the house in the Northwest direction. Immediately after that, Mr. Dan quickly informed the police agency to organize to bring the baby back to his family.
Upon receiving the information, Song Cau Ward Police immediately notified the family, and at the same time assigned forces to coordinate with the Ward Military Command to approach the area, bring baby K down the mountain safely and hand him over to the family.
