At noon on August 7, information from the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that rescue forces in coordination with local forces and people found the body of a child who drowned at the Thiet Ke spillway, Thiet Ong commune.
After finding the victim's body, functional forces completed the procedures and handed it over to the family to take care of the funeral according to local customs.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on the afternoon of August 6, the Fire and Rescue Police Department, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police received a report from Thiet Ong Commune Police about a drowning incident that occurred at the Thiet Ke spillway.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department dispatched 2 pickup trucks carrying forces, vehicles and 10 officers and soldiers to the scene, coordinating with local forces to organize the search for victims.
The victim was identified as baby B.X. B. (born in 2015, residing in Thiet Ke village, Thiet Ong commune, Thanh Hoa province).
By the morning of August 7, rescue forces continued to coordinate with local authorities and people to deploy search operations. By more than 11 am on the same day, the baby's body was found.
