Speed up construction
During the holidays of September 2nd this year, the construction site of the North-South Expressway through Quang Binh province was still bustling with machinery. Taking advantage of the dry summer days to prepare for the rainy season, contractors constructing the North-South Expressway through Quang Binh province have simultaneously deployed construction to speed up progress.
The North-South Eastern Expressway Project for the 2021-2025 period passing through Quang Binh includes 3 component projects: Vung Ang - Bung, Bung - Van Ninh and Van Ninh - Cam Lo with a total length of more than 126km.
The Ministry of Transport requires investors of North-South Expressway component projects to speed up construction and proactively prepare plans to respond to storms and floods in the upcoming rainy season.
Workers here work in 3 shifts, day and night, to complete the items on schedule by the end of September this year.
At the construction site of the Van Ninh – Cam Lo highway through Le Thuy district – Quang Binh province, machinery and workers are rolling the road, and in some places are spreading the roadbed.
The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport) is the investor of the Van Ninh - Cam Lo Expressway Component Project. Mr. Chu Van Long - Deputy Head of Project Management Department 4, Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that this is a favorable time to accelerate the implementation of the completion of the stages, to avoid heavy rain affecting the construction.
“We are currently carrying out stages such as roadbed construction, asphalt construction, etc. at full capacity while the weather is still sunny and dry,” said Mr. Long.
Construction road adhesion
Worker Nguyen The Gian, who is constructing a hollow asphalt concrete section on the North-South expressway through Phu Thuy commune (Le Thuy district), said that the weather is sunny so the unit is speeding up the construction of the sections on the route.
Every day, the unit works 3 shifts from morning to night. At noon, workers take a break to eat and rest, then continue their work on the road.
"The workers also understood the assigned tasks, took advantage of every moment to speed up the progress, everyone was happy to help the project achieve the results as assigned by the Prime Minister" - Mr. Gian said.
In the XL-02 package, the Bung - Van Ninh component project (through Quang Binh province), the construction unit is mobilizing over 400 engineers, workers and over 250 vehicles and construction equipment on the route. Many sections have been paved by the construction unit, and the work is being carried out vigorously on every meter of road.
From above, the intersection on the Bung - Van Ninh route is gradually taking shape, part of which is paved.
The contractor representative said that the construction work at the site was arranged scientifically and methodically, and was completed as it progressed, in order to meet the contract schedule.
Up to now, the North-South Eastern Expressway project in the 2021-2025 period passing through Quang Binh has handed over 105.99km/126.43km of land; 419m remaining.
Local authorities are continuing to implement plans to hand over the site to the contractor to ensure the project is on schedule.
