On December 11, the 17th session of the 10th term People's Council of Ca Mau province discussed a series of hot issues with the participation of delegates.
Delegate Dang Thuy Trang said that the work of improving the quality of public health care in the locality needs attention. Assessing the changes and recognizing the shortcomings and limitations, Delegate Trang said that public health facilities need to pay attention to the opinions and recommendations of voters towards satisfaction, service and health care for the people.
Delegates suggested that all levels and functional sectors pay attention to implementing healthcare investment projects, resources in digital transformation, and policies for public healthcare human resources. If the situation of weak and inadequate facilities and medical examination and treatment is not as good as private facilities, it will be very dangerous.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ca Mau province, Chairman of the meeting - said: The contributions and achievements of the health sector are enormous. However, there are still many problems and limitations that need to be resolved. The problem of people feeling inconvenienced when seeking medical treatment is real, this situation must be stopped immediately.
Regarding digital transformation, many delegates said that digital transformation is not yet synchronous, people have limited access, and human resources for digital transformation are lacking and weak.
Responding to questions, Mr. Tran Van Trung - Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ca Mau province - stated that the province currently has 135 full-time officials, civil servants, and public employees with experience in information technology and digital transformation in state agencies with appropriate majors. The current difficulty is the lack of quality human resources. Although there are some full-time officials specializing in information technology, the number does not meet the needs of large-scale digital transformation.
The Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ca Mau province said that in order to become digital citizens, people need to equip themselves with certain knowledge, focusing on raising awareness of digital technology through seminars, training conferences, guidance from the Community Digital Technology Team, media channels... identifying citizens and creating digital identities.
As the head of the province's information and communications sector, Mr. Tran Van Trung said he will coordinate with telecommunications businesses in the province to ensure information technology infrastructure so that citizens can access digital services in the easiest way.
"The department's goal is that by the end of 2025, at least each household must have a digital citizen, which will then spread to the entire household or support the remaining members to carry out digital transformation and transactions on the network environment," said Mr. Trung.
According to the working schedule, at this session, the People's Council of Ca Mau province approved 25 submissions and draft resolutions submitted by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee. Of these, there are 13 legal resolutions.
