Reader Dong Thanh Giang asked: "A civil servant in the A1 specialist category, salary coefficient 3.66, is a Grade IV physician, studying for a traditional medicine degree and wants to examine and treat patients and has been approved by the unit's leadership. I would like to ask, how is the salary classification for this civil servant from A1 to B category carried out?"
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Health responded as follows:
Instructions on salary classification when considering the transfer of professional titles from type A1 civil servants to type B are implemented according to the provisions of Circular No. 02/2007/TT-BNV dated May 25, 2007 of the Minister of Home Affairs guiding salary classification when upgrading, transferring ranks, and transferring types of civil servants and public employees.
Accordingly, civil servants are considered by competent authorities to transfer their professional titles and be appointed and assigned a salary for the title of medical practitioner, level 10, coefficient 3.66 of the salary range for civil servants of type B corresponding to the salary coefficient of civil servants currently enjoying salary level A1.
