From June 16 to 17, in Y Ty commune, the Border Guard Command of Lao Cai province coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Justice and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a legal propaganda program and "Digital literacy" for people in border areas.
The program attracted more than 1,000 officials, civil servants and people from ethnic minorities to participate.

To make legal regulations closer and easier to understand, the Organizing Committee has innovated the form of propaganda by stage performances. Short skits are performed in local ethnic languages to help people access information in an intuitive and vivid way.
Through the program, people are disseminated the Vietnam Border Guard Law, border management agreements and regulations; and at the same time, they are propagated and mobilized not to participate or assist in illegal entry and exit activities.
Functional forces also guide people to raise vigilance against crimes such as human trafficking, smuggling, cyber fraud and acts of taking advantage of ethnic and religious issues to cause division in the great national unity bloc.

In addition, many social issues still existing in mountainous areas such as early marriage, consanguineous marriage, domestic violence and social evils are also analyzed and disseminated to raise awareness and gradually change people's behaviors and lifestyles.
The highlight of the program is the "Digital Education for All" activity with the message: "80 years ago, our ancestors learned to read to eradicate illiteracy; today, we learn digital skills to eradicate technology illiteracy".
People are directly guided on how to use smartphones and the internet safely and effectively; practice scanning QR codes to look up information, reflect the security and order situation; participate in Zalo and Facebook groups of villages and hamlets to receive information from the government.

People are also equipped with skills to recognize bad and toxic information, prevent online fraud and carry out administrative procedures in the digital environment, contributing to saving time and travel costs.
Propaganda activities and "Digital People's Education" in Y Ty are assessed as creative mass mobilization models, contributing to raising legal awareness, promoting digital transformation in border areas, consolidating the people's hearts and strengthening the protection of national sovereignty and border security.
