On April 20, information from Y Ty Commune Police said that the unit had promptly rescued and taken a foreign tourist who had an accident to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Previously, at about 9:30 pm on April 19, Y Ty Commune Police received a report from people about a foreign tourist encountering a traffic accident in the Sin Chai village road area, in bad weather conditions, heavy rain accompanied by thick fog.

Immediately after receiving the information, the commune police force urgently arrived at the scene, organized inspection, verification and deployed rescue measures.
Through initial verification, the victim was ALBERT (born 1993, Spanish nationality), traveling alone. The cause was determined to be that the pass road was winding, slippery, and visibility was only about 5m, causing the victim to fall off his motorbike on his own.
At the scene, the victim had a broken left collarbone, many abrasions on his body, and could not move on his own. The police force performed initial first aid and quickly took the victim to the commune health station for treatment.

Recognizing that the injury situation needed intensive treatment, Y Ty Commune Police organized vehicles and directly took the victim through nearly 90 km of mountain pass road to Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 2 overnight.
The journey took place in particularly dangerous conditions, heavy rain, thick fog, slippery road surface.
After more than 3 hours of continuous movement, the victim was handed over to the hospital for further treatment. Currently, the tourist's health has stabilized.
