The project to repair Ngoi Lau bridge and Dam Mu culvert (National Highway 37) is invested by the Road Maintenance Management Board of Yen Bai province with a total investment of more than 24 billion VND.
The project started construction in July 2024, with Thang Long Construction and Mechanical Joint Stock Company and Yen Bai Bridge Joint Stock Company as contractors.
According to Lao Dong's report on November 12, at the Ngoi Lau Bridge and Dam Mu Sluice Repair Project (National Highway 37) through Hop Minh Ward, Yen Bai City, dozens of workers and machines are working hard to complete the road on schedule.
Mr. Tran Van Hung (38 years old, Hop Minh, Yen Bai City) said that National Highway 37 is a vital route with many vehicles traveling, especially heavy trucks.
"The amount of vehicles passing through here is very large, and the road surface is quite narrow, making it a bit difficult for people to travel. To go from Yen Bai City to Tran Yen, this is like the only route, so I hope the construction unit will soon complete it so that people's travel will be less difficult," said Mr. Hung.
According to the representative of Yen Bai Bridge Joint Stock Company, for the Dam Mu culvert project, due to the construction on National Highway 37 which is currently in operation, the unit had to divide it into 2 parts for renovation.
"Currently, the unit is constructing the right half first. After completing the construction, the unit will open the road to traffic and continue constructing the left half. When the construction is completed, the entire road surface will be paved," informed this representative.
