The Traffic Police Department reported that from 12:00 on November 18, 2025 to 12:00 on November 19, 2025, through extracting data from the A.I camera piloted for installation in Hanoi's inner city (intersection of Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi streets), it has automatically detected: 54 cases of non-compliance with traffic light signals - running red lights. The Traffic Police Department said that these cases have been transferred to the Hanoi City Police and functional units to carry out procedures to handle violations.

People should note that the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order, Decree 168/2024/ND-CP stipulating administrative sanctions for violations of road traffic safety and order; deduction of points, restoration of driving license points take effect from January 1, 2025.
Accordingly, some violations of road traffic safety order have increased fines compared to before, such as drivers running red lights being fined 18-20 million VND (old level was 4-6 million VND). Motorbikes running red lights will be fined from 4 to 6 million VND.
