It is not difficult to see luxury cars on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, however, it is quite rare for many Rolls-Royce models to appear at the same time.
Recently, images of two Rolls-Royces parked next to each other in an alley in Ho Chi Minh City have received much attention on social networks. Both represent the super-luxury car class of the British brand but belong to completely different segments and operating philosophies.
Parked behind is the old generation Rolls-Royce Ghost model. Although the British car company has introduced a new version, the Ghost still retains its appeal thanks to its luxurious design, sharp lines and distinctive style that has made the name of this super-luxury sedan line.
Meanwhile, the focus of attention belongs to the Rolls-Royce Spectre - Rolls-Royce's first pure electric super-luxury coupe model. This is a product marking a transformation of the British luxury car brand in the electrification strategy.
In terms of design, Spectre inherits the familiar styling language of Rolls-Royce with imposing body ratios, characteristic grilles and lines reminiscent of famous coupe and sedan models such as Rolls-Royce Wraith or Rolls-Royce Phantom. However, many details have been refined to suit the modern electric vehicle platform.
This model is equipped with an electric powertrain with a maximum power of 577 horsepower and a maximum torque of 900 Nm. Thanks to that, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5 seconds. According to WLTP standards, the range of the Spectre reaches about 520 km after each full charge.
In addition, Rolls-Royce Spectre supports DC fast charging with a maximum capacity of 195 kW, allowing battery charging from 10% to 80% in about 34 minutes. In cases of emergency travel, the car only needs to charge for about 9 minutes to replenish enough energy for a distance of nearly 100 km.
The appearance of a Ghost using an internal combustion engine next to the pure electric Spectre model has created an interesting contrast between the two development stages of Rolls-Royce. One side is a symbol of traditional luxury, the other side represents the future of electrification of the super luxury car brand from the UK.
