While the reunion between Italian supercar brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini or McLaren is familiar, the fact that a Japanese model such as the GT-R R35 parallel to Ferrari brings novelty.
Both cars are personalized to create their own mark. The Nissan GT-R R35 stands out with a carbon fiber body kit, while the Ferrari 488 GTB is covered in chrome red with white stripes on the front of the car.
The Nissan GT-R R35 is one of Japan's iconic sports cars. The vehicle uses a twin-turbocharged V6 engine, 3.8 liters capacity, maximum capacity of 480 horsepower, maximum torque of 588 Nm.
The six-speed dual-clutch transmission combined with full-time four-wheel drive helps the GT-R R35 accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.5 seconds, before reaching a maximum speed of 309 km/h. In early 2025, Nissan announced that it would stop accepting new orders for the GT-R line, ending the 18-year journey of this model since its launch in 2007.
The Ferrari 488 GTB represents the Italian sporty style. The car is equipped with a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 660 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. The ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds and a maximum speed of 330 km/h makes 488 GTB one of the notable models in the segment. In Vietnam, the number of Ferrari 488 GTBs is about more than 15, of which genuine imported cars only account for a small number.
The appearance of the Japan - Italy supercar couple in Ho Chi Minh City shows the diversity of the domestic supercar community, while also reflecting the increasingly widespread passion for high-performance sports cars.
