This hypercar model is limited to 149 units globally, much less than the original estimate of 399 units. This is a decision to increase the rarity of this car line by McLaren.
McLaren Elva was first announced in 2019, with an original roofless and windproof design, reminiscent of the light racing models M1A, M1B and M1C from the 1960s designed by Bruce McLaren himself.
Minh's version of the "lastic" owned by the version with windshields, is to comply with the legal requirements of some countries, including Vietnam. The car uses a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 804 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, helping to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds.
This Elva has a personalized exterior with a unique artistic paint job, done by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) department. The vehicle was imported in 2023, but it was not until February 2025 that registration and license plate installation were completed after the auction.
Notably, the owner also received an exclusive gift from luxury watch brand Richard Mille - a set of floor tiles designed specifically for Elva. Although the price has not been announced, car enthusiasts estimate that the value of this gift could be up to hundreds of millions of VND, further affirming the class and rarity of the million-dollar car in Vietnam.
