The Honda CR-X del Sol is still a relatively new model to domestic car enthusiasts. This is a 2-seat convertible produced by Honda from 1992 to 1998, sold in international markets under many other names such as the Honda Civic del Sol, Honda del Sol and Honda CR-X.
In 1994 and 1995, a few Honda CR-X del Sol cars were officially imported to Vietnam.
Notably, a car of this type was recently shared by a supercar dealer in Ho Chi Minh City. It is worth noting that for the past 30 years, he has never sold this car, but has kept it in the garage, causing the exterior to be dusty, the paint to peel off in some places, and still keeping the old registration stamp, before the time of road tax stamps.
The CR-X del Sol debuted in Japan and Europe in 1992. The base model (called the VXi) came with 13-inch steel wheels and was available only at Honda Verno dealerships. The VXi/VGi models in Japan were powered by the Honda D15B-VTEC 4-cylinder SOHC VTEC engine, producing 128 horsepower.
The "Si" version (called "ESi" in Europe) is equipped with a 1.6-liter 16-valve SOHC VTEC 4-cylinder engine, along with 14-inch alloy wheels and other amenities such as power mirrors, cruise control, rear disc brakes, and anti-sway bars.
Depending on the market and trim level, the CR-X del Sol's options could include a spoiler, automatic transmission, power steering, fog lights, air conditioning, and traction control. In North America, the car was sold as the Civic del Sol from 1993 until 1995, when the model officially changed its name to the Honda del Sol.
