On August 10, Phu Tho Provincial Police said that recently there has been a situation of collecting registration certificates and license plates of old, damaged or no longer used vehicles.
These types of papers and license plates can be used to legalize vehicles of unknown origin, stolen vehicles or serve illegal acts.
Faced with the above situation, Phu Ninh Commune Police have propagated and disseminated regulations on vehicle registration and management; and at the same time requested business establishments not to receive registration certificates and license plates of unknown origin.
Relevant units also signed commitments to comply with legal regulations, not to assist in legalizing violating vehicles.
The police recommend that people proactively preserve vehicle registration certificates and license plates. When vehicles are subject to recall due to damage, demolition, expiration of service life or transfer of ownership, vehicle owners need to complete procedures at competent authorities.
In case of loss of registration certificate or license plate, vehicle owners need to promptly report to be guided and resolved according to regulations.
Phu Ninh Commune Police will continue to strengthen inspections of related establishments, and at the same time mobilize people to provide information about illegal trading of registration certificates, license plates or vehicles of unknown origin.
Through this, functional forces contribute to preventing crime, preventing the legalization of violating vehicles and ensuring security and order in the area.
