Thai Binh Police announced that from March 19, 2025 to March 26, 2025, the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police recorded 135 cases of vehicles violating the Road Traffic Law being fined.
Among these, there are 2 cars with HCMC license plates as follows: 50LD-135.29, 51H-589.39. Both cars were fined for speeding.
Bac Ninh Police also said that from February 24, 2025 to March 2, 2025, the traffic police force will use professional equipment to handle violations through images to send notices to 76 vehicle owners whose vehicles violate traffic safety regulations.
Among the vehicles fined is a vehicle with a HCMC license plate 51K-689.27. This car violated the speed limit from 5 km/h to less than 10 km/h. The violating vehicle was on February 27, 2025 at Km 7, National Highway 17, Thuan Thanh, Bac Ninh.
The Ministry of Public Security said that from March 1, when there are no more district-level police, traffic violators can go to the traffic police department where people live or where violations are detected to resolve fines.
People should note the new fine for driving at a new speed according to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP as follows:
Fine for speeding from 05 km/h to under 10 km/h: Fine from 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND.
Fine for driving a car at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit from 10 km/h to 20 km/h: Fine from VND 4,000,000 to VND 6,000,000; at the same time, the violator will have 2 points deducted from the driver's license.
The fine for driving a car at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit is from over 20 km/h to 35 km/h: Fine from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000; at the same time, the violator will have 4 points deducted from the driver's license.
The fine for driving a car at a speed exceeding the prescribed speed limit by more than 35 km/h: Fine from VND 12,000,000 to VND 14,000,000; at the same time, the violator will have 6 points deducted from the driver's license.
When paying the fine, the car driver needs to prepare the following documents:
For cars: Vehicle registration, certificate of technical safety inspection and environmental protection, driver's license of the violator, citizen identification card of the violator (photocopy 1 copy of each type of document).
The police recommend that people continue to raise awareness of voluntarily complying with traffic laws, for their own safety and that of others.
