AI cameras in 24 hours have detected dozens of cases of vehicles running red lights in Hanoi.

Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Ministry of Public Security said that in the period from 12:00 on February 13 to 12:00 on February 14, 2026, the artificial intelligence (AI) application camera system operated by this unit recorded many cases of traffic order and safety violations in Hanoi and the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.

Accordingly, at km20 of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, the AI camera system recorded 14,615 vehicles passing through at an average speed of 78km/h.

Through data analysis, the system detected 10 cases of not fastening seat belts; 7 cases of speeding violations. Violations have been notified to vehicle owners for handling according to regulations.

In the inner city of Hanoi, the AI camera system piloted installed at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection (Cau Giay ward) automatically detected 44 cases of not wearing helmets; 124 cases of not complying with traffic light signals (motorbikes, motorcycles); 2 cases of going against traffic.

AI cameras on Le Van Luong street did not record any cases of going in the wrong lane.

All violations have been transferred to the Hanoi City Police and functional units to implement the handling process in accordance with legal regulations.

The Traffic Police Department recommends that people strictly comply with traffic laws, contributing to ensuring safety for themselves and the community when participating in traffic.
